There are many initiatives underway to go to preserve Indigenous culture, language and traditions. The following are initiatives, projects and programs currently being offered in Treaty Six Territory.

The goal of this talent showcase is to provide mental and health and wellbeing support through entertainment by highlighting our people within our four-member nations of the Yellowhead Tribal Council: Alexander First Nation, Alexis Nakota Sioux Nation, O’Chiese First Nation, Sunchild First Nation and students enrolled at the Yellowhead Tribal College. YTC is launching a call for video submissions for the following categories each week.

This initiative is led by Alexis Nakota Sioux Nation to encourage Indigenous youth to partner in protecting our Elders.
